** DH Environmental Operations under Governor Inslee's Executive Order to
"Stay Home, Stay Safe" **
On 23 March 2020 Governor Inslee issued an Executive Order directing all residents immediately to heed current State public health directives to stay home, except as needed to maintain continuity of operations of essential critical infrastructure sectors and additional sectors as the State Public Health Officer may designate as critical to protect health and well-being of all Washingtonians. In accordance with this order, the Governor has designated a list of “Essential Critical Infrastructure Workers” to help state, local, tribal, and industry partners as they work to protect communities, while ensuring continuity of functions critical to public health and safety, as well as economic and national security.
DH Environmental, Inc. has received confirmation from the Washington State Emergency Operations Center that it is an essential business and we are authorized to commence with operations.
The services that DH Environmental, Inc. provides, and the employees that provide these services to the Port of Seattle, the Port of Tacoma, WA State municipalities, the Federal Government, as well as multiple Critical Infrastructure Sectors, are included in the Governor’s list of Essential Critical Infrastructure Workers. These services, and the employees that provide these services include, but are not limited to:
- Hazardous material responders and hazardous devices teams, from government and the private sector;
- Workers who support hazardous materials response and cleanup;
- Hazardous materials transportation;
- Workers supporting the operation and maintenance of facilities (particularly those with high risk chemicals and/or sites that cannot be shut down) whose work cannot be done remotely and requires the presence of highly trained personnel to ensure safe operations, including plant contract workers who provide inspections.
DH Environmental, Inc. personnel have the training, experience, and personal protective equipment to provide these services within the guidelines provided by the Center for Disease Control and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration to prevent infection and/or spread of COVID-19. DH Environmental, Inc. employees have been instructed to practice social distancing, limit interactions with other individuals, and stay home if they are feeling ill, or if individuals in their household are ill.
